I have to apologize for the delay in this post, I’ve been battling some kind of hell beast stomach bug since last Monday. Being sick is such a drag; I couldn’t really do anything but stare blankly at the TV and sleep, but I’m finally through the woods.
So it was over a week ago that I got my beautiful new tattoo and it’s finally done peeling (thankfully). I knew my artist, Brad Rouse is really talented because he did the big phoenix tattoo on my boyfriend’s arm a few years ago and it’s gorgeous. So I knew I was in good hands, which always helps with the pre-tattoo jitters. I also have a habit of choosing where I want my tattoos without thinking about how badly certain spots will hurt. This was a perfect example of that since I didn’t even think about it until I started to sweat when I got in the chair.
Getting some butterflies in my stomach around this point
When I first saw the transfer I got really excited because it looked better than I had even imagined the tattoo.
‘Who, me? Oh, I’m in no pain.’
A bit of thumb biting usually takes my mind off of it…
My artist, Brad is such an incredibly nice guy (which always helps).
Whew, thank god the outline is done!
Just think about anything else in the world…
By this point I was definitely handling the pain better, I got into this zen-like state.
Just a little bleedy, no biggie.
And as you can see, it was worth every bit of pain!
If you like what you see please contact Brad Rouse at Silkworm, I would recommend him to anyone!
