shoe love EDIT

Well ladies and gents, thanks to my tax return check, which was muuuch bigger than I thought it would be, I got my Aldo wedges! I love it when the IRS tells you that you missed something on your form and then gives you $400 more than you thought you were getting! The rest of that money is going towards finally getting my truck back on the road. I can’t wait, I love that little piece of shit. Anyway, here’s what I wore today to showcase my shoes! I forgot to put on all my jewelry though before I left the house, so I may try to run home and get all of it so I can take some pictures in the park today.

Aren't they the most gorgeous things you've ever seen?!

I am obviously head over heels for them, and I must say that they are amazingly comfy! I’ve been wearing them for 4 hours and I’m still feeling great. You’ll probably see more of this outfit tomorrow too.

EDIT: Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to go back to the park to take more pictures, however I did prepare for this possibility yesterday and take more pictures than I put up. So here are a few more shots of this outfit:

I love the little tassels on either side of this purse

WHAT: oversized scarf, thrift

t-shirt dress, forever 21

tassel bag, chicken lays an egg

wedges, aldo

WHERE: work at chicken and doing the massive pile of laundry that lives in my room

WHEN: tuesday, june 8

betty draper kinda edit

So I just had to do a little edit post to add this little screen shot of Betty Draper that was sent to me by the amazingly awesome Molly of Sister in Second-hand Sequins! When I saw that she sent me this on Saturday I must say that it kind of made my day. This particular shot isn’t from the episode I was talking about, but I really like that they have her wear it again in season 3. As Molly said, “it must be a piece she feels very confident in”. I have to agree, and I like that she looked at it from Betty’s viewpoint. Since Molly lives in Cincinnati she and I are currently plotting some cool posts and blog adventures together, so stay tuned! Also stay tuned for lots of cool pictures from the Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn! No, I didn’t get to go, but my good friend (and Chicken Lays An Egg’s only employee) Sam did and she took loads of pictures for me to share!
